David Christopher

David Christopher

Fusing the balladry of James Blunt, the pop sensibilities of Oasis, the haunting soundscapes of Coldplay and emotive wordplay of Neil Finn, David has created his own sublime niche in the commercial singer/songwriter realm.  Lyrically and musically, his subject matter is universal; love, life and loss represented in songs that have an equally melodic and universal appeal reflecting a genuine love of the songwriting craft.  Formerly bass player/vocalist/songwriter for Australian powerpop outfit The New Wave Failures, DC's earliest work from the bands two EPs 'What's New!' and 'Transit' gained national airplay on the Triple J network and were profiled in Rolling Stone magazine.

Andrew Jessimer & Emad Younan

Andrew Jessimer & Emad Younan

Emad Younan - MEZA:

Emad Younan is the front-man from prominent Sydney based rock band MEZA. Emad will be playing the music of his brother Jesse, who was a self-taught musician who started playing the guitar when he was six years old. Jesse’s early memories of playing the guitar involved recording music from the radio and then playing along with his favourite bands. His playing has been compared to guitarists such as Bert Jansch, Davey Graham and John Martyn. However, Jesse Younan's sound is unique - a gorgeous fusion of folk, blues and the music he heard as a young boy. A gifted lyricist, his heartbreaking songs of love and struggle are carried by a distinctive, deep voice full of emotion.

Andrew Jessimer – Crowd to the Shore:

Crowd to the Shore is the music of Andrew Jessimer who started out as a drummer at the age of 12 and played in bands such as Joey Rocket, Morgana and the Monstars, MEZA, When yr dead yr dear forever and did session work for a number of other recording artists. Andrew picked up the guitar later in life and decided to chance his hand at singing & song writing and has never looked back. Crowd to the Shore has played at many venues around Sydney’s inner west and is looking forward to spreading his music to the South Coast.

Pat Drummond

Pat Drummond

Pat's amazing three decade long career has seen him pass through a half dozen 'reincarnations' that have produced an incredible body of original work in as many different musical genres.

Beginning with his spectacular stints as Sydney's 'king of the hill' in the anarchic 'sing-along uni/ bar/ pub' scene of the late 70's and early 80's, Pat became renowned for writing what were effectively musical mini-operas that included whole sections scripted for and performed by the crowds.  Although the music was actually 'folk rock', it was a very punk philosophy of performing in which the whole emphasis was on breaking down the 'barrier' between the crowd and the stage.

Tess Hathaway

Tess Hathaway
Being raised on a musical cocktail of Neil Young, Carole King and Van Morrisson ensured that 22 year-old singer/songwriter Tess Hathaway understood the many complexities of a great pop song from a very early age. Combining her love of the classics with an appreciation for modern greats ranging from Alanis Morissette to Lady Gaga, Tess composed her first song at just 9 years old – and hasn’t looked back. Her list of achievements speaks for itself; Perhaps most indicative of her status as one of Australia’s most exciting singer-songwriters is the fact that at age 17, just two years after she began performing originals, she was selected to support none other than Whitlams frontman Tim Freedman on his sold-out shows in Sydney. With such a broad spectrum of musical influences, it is little wonder that Tess’ music possesses a maturity that belies her age. Even more impressive is how Tess blends the sounds of her heroes to craft a sound that is distinctly her own. Her music may explore the depths of human suffering, but unlike many of her contemporaries, Tess resists the temptation of self-indulgence and keeps the focus musically on engaging melodies, harmonies and arrangements. Her primary focus is to firmly establish herself as a professional songwriter – and with a staggering list of credentials already under her belt, it seems inevitable that in the not-too-distant future her raw talent, persistence and commitment to further educating herself musically will pay dividends.

Kingy & Co

Kingy & Co
Kiama's Ian King melds like fever with his Company of 2 to inspire freedom and flight. Dishing out a delectable collection of intricate rolling reggae rock strum patterns, Kingdog's Strat is driven along by a pumping New Orleans style Beat and Bass that'll send a pulse through any floor. With a life and vision devoted to ".....beauty, reason and the Cream." King &Co.'s" colourful lyrics detail a simple and liberating lust for all things considered good at the time. I've witnessed the audience cry with acknowledgment, then laugh in relief as they inhale the honesty in the words of "A WOMAN WILL DESIRE" and "CAMPFIRE", before stomping their cares into the dirt with the fleeting feeling of "I'M SICK OF WRITING LOVE SONGS". So whether you catch him subtle and solo on acoustic, as a three piece or fielding five with the addition of SAX AND PERCUSSION, IAN KING & COMPANY will capture your attention and connect with your emotions. Enjoy!!!

Hollerin Matty Southon

Hollerin Matty Southon

Matt's music is inspired by passion and fire of old style bluesman the likes of Son House and Charlie Patton. With a beat up slide guitar and a hollering singing style, Matt can't hide the fact that his love of the old blues has combined with a love of harder stuff like the Ramones or the Dead Kennedy's, and modern legends like Jeff Lang, Lloyd Spiegel and Geoff Achison; resulting in a 100 mile an hour crash or crash through performance style. Living on a bush property near Bega, Matt's verandah has played home to much of his raucous stomping about, with his style developing through absolutely no need to turn it down!

Nick and Liesl

Nick and Liesl

Nick and Liesl are as natural a combination as sun and sand, creating an intoxicating sound that is simply unforgettable. Watching them perform is both delightful and inspiring, and it is easy to connect with their light sounds of guitar and piano blended with thoughtful and poetic lyrics. Stylistically they cover quite a range; from stripped-back and intimate folk to alternative, pop and soul, but the voices and the harmonies remain throughout, making their sound instantly recognisable. After spending months last year cooped up in their home studio on the NSW Central Coast, completing the album only days before hitting the road on their fourth adventure-filled European Tour, Nick and Liesl are very excited to be bringing it home with their long-awaited debut album ‘Feather ’ and a National Tour.

Rick Caballo

Rick was born in Wollongong, NSW, Australia to Spanish parents, a heritage which weaves its way through his music and is especially evident in the song ‘Mi Amor’ on the 'LOVE RETALIATION' album. He was also influenced by such divergent wellsprings as the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi. All of these rich and varied sources came together to help give rise to the powerful music that flows from this vibrant musician.

Anyone who has seen Rick Caballo perform in his regular haunts along the Australian East Coast pub and club circuit will tell you that this phenomenon has talent to burn. In just a short time, he has honed his craft as a writer and perfected his performing skills to be second to none, qualities that have been recognized by song writing associations and his fellow artists alike. Rick has the rare combination of charisma, magnetism and riveting presence that makes the best entertainers stand out, ‘STAR quality’, if you will.

In January, 2010, Rick was selected from among Australia's finest up-and-coming talents as a Grand Finalist in the coveted Toyota Star Maker contest in Tamworth, Australia’s No.1 Country Music Festival. This great achievement strengthened and built on his love for the new era of country-flavored Southern Rock.
